Pilot your life

Author: Landon Leuck

To know exactly what it means when someone say you need to pilot your life.  Well first off, what does that mean?  For me that means to take control of you, and only you.  Using good judgement and decisions when they are critical and that can ruin your whole aspect of life.  Examples are doing drugs, alcohol, etc, it is those things that you need to make sure you dont do because they will  have a negative affect on you and everyone that is around you.  Taking control does not mean taking control of every little aspect of your life, you need to focus more on the decisions that will impact your life more, instead for making a bad test on a quiz or getting detention.  Bigger decisions would make the biggest impact on your life such as smoking, alcohol, weed, cocaine, etc, and also dropping out of high school and not getting a high school education will not get you far in life, with the way the economy is you need a high school education and a college degree to make it far in life.  I am not saying that people who dont have a college education, or a high school education will not make it far in life, because I know many people who dont have college educations and have made it very far in life and their career, some have even made it farther than people with  educations.

Follow these steps to Pilot you life:

1. Make the "right" decision, when the big decision or question comes up

2. Take the decisions that make the biggest impact on your life and learn from them

3. Learn from your mistakes, and pin-point how they went wrong

4. Work on creating a pause button when a big question or decision comes up, so you can  "stop and think" about how thes decision or question may affect you in the long run

5. Putting what you know in perspective when something comes up
